Joe Wathika was elected NATIONAL PRESIDENT of BPA Saturday night.  He ran a successful campaign ("Enjoy Yourself a Cup of Joe") against 13 other candidates!  He had to go through a test, interview, campaign, speech, and each state's caucus.

He advanced through both the primary (narrowing the slate to 10 candidates) and general elections.  He visited each state's caucus and answered questions for 5 minutes.  At the conclusion of the caucus, each state's voting delegates cast their vote for their choice of 6 candidates (Friday night).  In the closing ceremony the new slate of officers for 2013-2014 was announced and installed.

This is a huge honor not only for Deer Creek but also for the state of Oklahoma!  Joe will represent BPA in the utmost professional manner.  Congratulations Joe!
